Dubai’s “underwater villas” are going global.

In March, Kleindienst Group officially launched The Floating Seahorse, an aesthetically designed contemporary marine-style product at The Dubai International Boat Show. Now it has been revealed that 42-boat project plans to go around the world not just here in the UAE offshore from St Petersburg and the main Europe Island.

“Since launching The Floating Seahorse we have been inundated with local, regional and international enquiries. We are excited to not just offer people a once in a lifetime investment opportunity in Dubai but on a global scale,” CEO of Kleindienst Group, Josef Kleindienst said. “The Floating Seahorse is not restricted to Dubai waters and can be designed and fabricated in Dubai for other resorts and destinations worldwide.”

Since it was announced, the company has received a great deal of interest from media, clients and investors in places including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Maldives, Seychelles, The Caribbean, Sweden, Portugal and Norway.

The Floating Seahorse is the first of its kind in the world, essentially a boat without propulsion which has its own plot in the Arabian Gulf, just 4km from the Dubai coast. Each will have three levels, underwater, sea level and an upper deck.

If you like the idea of sleeping under the sea then you’re in luck because the master bedroom and bathroom will be totally submerged underwater, meaning you’ll have views of the surrounding coral reef and marine life. Now all you need is to find the cash to buy one if you don’t already have that kind of money!

The kitchen, dining area and open-plan living room, will have floor-to-ceiling windows that can open to become an extension of the lounge.

Imagine enjoying lazy days on the deck which comes equipped with a glass-bottomed Jacuzzi and mini-bar.

Hopefully the ultra-plush water vehicles will be complete by the end of next year.

CEO of Kleindienst Group, Josef Kleindienst, explained the meaning behind the project’s name and how he hopes everything will pan out.

“The seahorse is an endangered species and we will create an artificial coral reef beneath the luxury retreats which will be a protected area in which seahorses can safely live and breed. Very soon, people will be able to see up-close and personal, the beautiful and elegant Arabian horse of the ocean - the seahorse,”

“Many months of research, design and planning have gone into The Floating Seahorse and we are excited to be able to officially launch and build it in Dubai.

“We are confident that it will set a new benchmark in the luxury lifestyle market worldwide for outstanding innovation, contemporary design and underwater living at its best.”
