Square one of floating real estate development investors

So the REAL interesting question is:
If the creation of space on the water is a USD 70 billion per year business with billions of investment put in every year - why is my project not yet part of it ?

What brings us back to square one:

Do you have investors to your seasteading proposal or not - if you don’t

The usual suspects for this shortcomming are:

Bad communication strategy - nobody is aware of this opportunity -
investors think the idea is good but YOU are not the indicated person to implement it.
Investors do not (yet) “believe in the idea” although they may have heard of it (credibility).
Everything is fine the idea just needs a couple of years to sink in and ripe in the investors minds. Mainstream investors are cautious individuals. Between the successful plantation of the business idea and a real investor putting money on the table normally calculate with 3 years of time delay.

So in case of “not having investors” you work your bottleneck according to your indicators where the bottleneck is - until you have investors. (communication, believe, sink in)

in case of “having investors” you are “ok in the contact and proposal round of square one”, and what you need to do from here is “knowing their expectations and move your project forward according to their expectations”. As the world’s land-based economies struggle with annual rates of around 2% growth in Gross Domestic Product, the global marine economy – now increasingly being talked about as “the blue economy” – is a bright light on the horizon.
